Next Generation Continuous Infusion System

• Define complex patterns of pumping for a network of pumps.
• Supports combinations of syringe and peristaltic pumps.

Inverse Linear Constant Flow Rate

• Maintain a constant combined flow rate while linearly increasing or decreasing the concentration

Next Generation Continuous Infusion System

Eliminate flow rate pauses and drop-offs common when push-pull style pumping systems change directions. With this “Next Generation” system, the refilling syringe fills at a faster rate then the infusing syringe, giving it time to prime the syringe and/or overlap the infusion. This creates a near seamless transition between syringes. The infusing pump changing direction, or reaching overlap volume, triggers the paused pump to start infusing.

Simultaneous (Reciprocating) Infusion/Withdrawal

Basic Continuous Infusion Mode – “Push-Pull” Style

One pump infuses while the other pump dispenses. When the master pump changes direction, the other pump also changes direction. Add a dual pump plumbing kit (Model #P-DKIT) to create a continuous pumping system.

Emulsification

Mixes contents of 2 syringes connected syringe tip to syringe tip. While one syringe infuses, the other syringe withdraws. Then they change directions.

Dual Pumps Mode

Creates a 2 channel pump system using 2 independent pumps. The second pump duplicates the operation of the first pump: Start, Stop, Change speed, Change direction.

Alternating and Chain Pumping Modes

Alternate dispenses of 2 chemicals. Automatically alternates between 2 pumps. Pump chemical 1 then chemical 2, then repeat.

Continuous infusion using pre-loaded syringes

Load pre-filled syringes in Pump 1 and Pump 2. Start Pump 1. When the syringe is empty, Pump 1 stops and Pump 2 automatically starts. Load a new pre-filled syringe in Pump 1, and then when the syringe in Pump 2 is empty, Pump 2 stops and Pump 1 starts. The cycle repeats.

 

Chain Pumping Mode

Sequential dispensing of multiple pumps. Sequentially pumping of up to 9 pumps. When one pump stops, the next pump automatically starts.

Requirements:
• Alternating mode: 2 peristaltic and/or syringe programmable pumps
• Chain mode: Up to 9 peristaltic and/or syringe programmable pumps
• Cable CBL-DUAL-3
• One cable CBL-NET-7 for each Chain Mode pump after the second pump

Upgrade to the X Firmware and add the following features:
• Chain Mode syringe pumps require X firmware upgrade. Peristaltic pumps require X2 firmware upgrade
• Alternating Mode: Add a delay before starting next pump.
• Alternating Mode: Overlap the start of the next pump to create a seamless transition between pumps.
• X Firmware Upgrade as required: FW-1X or FW-5X. X2 firmware: FW-1X2 or FW-5X2.

Pattern Pumping Mode

  • Quickly setup complex, multi-pump dispense pattern sequences
  • Simultaneous dispensing of multiple pumps
  • Define pumping pattern on a spreadsheet, then upload to pump network
  • Pump network will run defined dispensing pattern from memory, without a computer attached

Requirements:
• A combination of up to 6 peristaltic and/or syringe programmable pumps
• X2 Firmware Upgrade, FW-1X2 or FW-5X2, for Master pump
• Minimum X Firmware Upgrade, FW-1X or FW-5X, for each additional pump in pump network
• Cable CBL-DUAL-3
• One CBL-NET-7 cable for the third pump, plus one additional CBL-NET-7 cable for each additional pump
• Cable kit CBL-USB-7-KIT for PC communicadtions and to program pumps

Inverse Linear Constant Flow Rate Mode: r1 + r2 = R constant

Maintain a constant flow rate while linearly increasing or decreasing the flow rate of Pump 1, while Pump 2 pumps inversely, linearly decreasing or increasing. The two syringes combine to a constant flow rate.
